AED Members, I recently received this email from the coordinator of the peer-assisted learning program about openings for chemistry tutors for CHEM 1015. ************************** I coordinate the peer-assisted learning program here at the U of MN. We are part of the SMART Learning Commons in the three libraries on campus. I would like to inform undergraduates in your organization that we have 4 openings in fall 2010 to be peer-assisted learning (PAL) facilitators for students enrolled in Chemistry 1015. A description of the position is attached. If an undergrad meets the qualifications and is interested in pursuing the position, please have them contact me. Several of our chemistry facilitators have gone on to medical school and found that their work in this program helped them review material that was tested on the MCAT. -- Mary P. Lilly Coordinator, Peer-Assisted Learning mlilly@umn.edu wiki.umn.edu/view/PAL/WebHome*********************************** If any of you are interested, please contact Ms. Lilly! Tutoring is a great leadership opportunity that looks great on your medical school application - and even if chemistry is not your favorite subject in the world, helping students in an intro course like 1015 will help you review and prepare for the MCAT!
